Dwiftwood Catfish

The Whiskerless Wonder: The Driftwood Catfish
Meet the Driftwood Catfish, a fascinating member of the Catfish family that stands out for its lack of whiskers! Nicknamed Fidalgo, Palmito, and Mandubé, this fish is a top-notch predator, readily attacking lures, live bait, and cut bait.
One look and you'll notice its unusual features. A tiny dorsal fin sits almost on top of its head, and its small eyes flank a massive trapdoor mouth. While they can grow up to 15 pounds, Driftwood Catfish in the 5-6 pound range are the perfect live bait size for targeting giant Piraiba/Lau Catfish.
